The Ramblas

This is the view from the rooftop deck of our hotel, showing the tree-lined thoroughfare that runs through the Gothic Quarter and down to the waterfront. The Ramblas is full of buskers and magazine stands and is hopping all night, mostly with tourists. Apparently a great place to have your pocket picked, but we were wise enough to keep our pockets empty the entire time we were there!

Eglésia de Santa Maria del Pi

More from Barcelona. This small Gothic church, founded in the 14th century, was just around the corner from our hotel. We saw a Spanish classical guitar concert there one night. The natural reverb was amazing!

More from the Gothic Quarter

More to Come

I still have a ton of honeymoon shots to post, and that'll be easier now that we have our new computer.

Is anyone looking at this page?

Well, we finally have them, so I will post some here soon. Not all 300 of them, of course! And more honeymoon photos are coming as well.

The Barri Gotic

The Gothic Quarter, right by where we were staying, is full of old Gothic buildings, narrow lanes full of little shops, and even some ancient Roman ruins. Even though I was become horribly ill by our second day in Barcelona, I had fun wandering around by myself while Michaela slept in a few mornings.
