Barcelona: The View From Our Hotel Room

In Barcelona we stayed right on the Ramblas, the busiest pedestrian thoroughfare running right down to the harbour (Port Vell). Our room looked out over the back of the building onto the Villa de Madrid square. Naturally, the first thing I did as soon as we checked in was start snapping photos from our little balcony, which overlooked an ancient Roman cemetery populated by a troupe of stray cats.
